Borgata $10k pwned or play poor; overpair fold on turn
So, Bryan Sumner . My owned my face.
My image is tight/average, but have also been extremely card dead. I had just doubled and accumulated up to 58k, average is 75k (that bad), and at 6/12/100 I open for 4500 in the hijack with KK. Fold to BB (Sumner) who calls. Flop J76 two spades. Check, bet 8k, call. Read: he was never thinking of folding - it was call or raise for him. turn Jx. Check, bet 16k leaving 26k behind, he ships, timing is all perfect no reads of weakness, I muck. I was offered a little over 3:1 pot odds. I couldn't think of a time ever when I was good 25% of the time there. He showed me 88. NH you owned me or nh you maniac? Devo |

I would check behind here and reevaluate on the river.

I agree with betgo here but would prob fold given that you bet... although even then I'm not sure

What was his stack size at the start of the hand?

Re: Borgata $10k pwned or play poor; overpair fold on turn
Incidently, the guy with 8s wasn't making a move on you. You raised from late position. You could have a lot of hands other than Jx and 66-AA. He thinks his 8s are probably good, and with so much in the pot, there is no point in flat calling and letting you draw to 5 outs or more if you have a straight draw. He hopes to sometimes fold a higher pp, but he doesn't put you on kings.
I would check behind, and as played snap call the push, because that's the way I play. |

Maverick,
I don't understand the play here on the turn. If we are not calling a push what is the bet size on the turn trying to accomplish? I also would like to know what his stack size was. |

Check behind and call any river or bet/call on the turn. |

If you bet the turn you need to call a shove.

Regardless of results, I do not fold this on turn. There's too many draws for him to have.
