Foxwoods $100 tournies?
I was wondering what are the turnouts for the Foxwoods $100 tourneys. Specifically the Thursday 6pm one. On average, how many entrants, what are the payouts, how long does it take? I just moved to the Foxwoods area and I want to play some tournies, with my job the Thursday at 6pm will be my best chance for a while.

Re: Foxwoods $100 tournies?
I think they generally get around 150 entries. It's been a long time, but I think they tend to run four hours or so. Yes, the payouts are top heavy.
These aren't worth entering regularly if your intention is to show a profit. Though playing them occasionaly can make for a relaxing few hours playing against generally terrible opponents. |

bad players = good tourney
generally 100+. after 100 entrants they pay top 20 places. |

Re: Foxwoods $100 tournies?
PLLSS don't waste your time with the $100 tournies. Payouts are very bad. I tried one once and found out the top 20 get paid out of I think we had 150 people signed up. I finished 11th, one short of the final table. The payout structure was that 20-11th place get paid the same, which is only 80 bucks ahead. And also I may add that all of my races preflop held up which prolly wouldn't even happen again.

I'm being arbitrary, but you have to finish in the top 3 for it to be really worth your while.

Re: Foxwoods $100 tournies?
The website says 20 minute levels? So these are basically the equivalent of online turbo games (5 minute blinds). I'm sure the casino likes this fine, but I always figure these for crap shoots online. Crap shoot + bad payout = no thanks.

[/ QUOTE ] Meh. 20 minute levels is pretty standard for live small buy-in tournaments. |

These are 80+20's, and 3% management fees on top of that. This should be the end of this thread.
