Raise-Fold the river with TPGK?
PokerStars $10/$20 Holdem Limit ($10/$20) - 5 players
Hand Converter Tool from DeucesCracked.com Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls. Turn: (3.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. River: (5.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero folds. Villain seems TAG (29/16/2.2), WTSD 37% over 300 or 400 hands. No other reads, I suppose i haven't noticed strange things in his play or haven't payed enough attention lol. I hate lines involving raise-folding the river, and I practically never do them, but in this hand perhaps is right? When an opponent donks an absolute blank in the river it's usually a missed draw or a pair (usually top pair). Or perhaps the river value raise have little value and i'm much better calling? edit: the only hand that makes sense is 22 I think |

Re: Raise-Fold the river with TPGK?
Yeah it really looks like 22. I think the original raise on the river is questionable if the villain is decent. If he had a hand he wanted to value bet, he would have raised somewhere earlier in the hand. It's hard to just call because he's only representing one hand that is bet/3betting, but he's really not representing any worse hands that will bet/call either.
