Default Edwards Backs Mandatory Preventive Care

Edwards Backs Mandatory Preventive Care

``It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care,'' he told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. ``If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK.''

This dude is S C A R Y. Talk about a power grap and the potential for abusing power. Is this even constitutional? The lawyers who read this forum should be able to shed some light. I assume that there's a penalty for not showing up for your check ups. What would it be? Jail? Pay a fine??? Booted out of the system? WTF????

Edwards said his mandatory health care plan would cover preventive, chronic and long-term health care. The plan would include mental health care as well as dental and vision coverage for all Americans.

Mandatory mental health check ups???? Probably not but maybe but if not the door is certainly open.

This is an idea from a Democrat that has a great deal of potential to do a lot of harm IMO. Unbelievable really.

this seems like a good idea to me for health insurance plans to make sure their potential money sinks (people) get treated as early as possible as cheaply as possible.

I mean, it could be a condition of your policy that if you go 13 months without a checkup, your policy lapses.

having said that, I see no need for a law, definitely no law for mandatory health insurance, since some people don't want it in the first place.

According to Mr. Edwards, if you disagree with his health plan you don't think every American deserves health care.

Is it constitutional? lol ofcourse not. The constitution has been a meaningless piece of crap since the times of Lincoln.

This sounds hella scary btw. And ofcourse: Edwards is a total communist and wants millions of people to die. Where can I vote?!

Anybody with a big enough bankroll to not want to make a -EV decision because he's averse to variance.
