Re: FT200 Pair+flushdraw gets ACTION
well, MP's range is skewed toward FDs
UTG prob has a Q or maybe a FD shoving's nice cause it looks strong and may fold out MP's larger FD since the Q is a diamond, UTG can't have TP+FD, so I'd lean toward popping it up to $111 and calling, and if called shoving any turn i think it's a good spot since you can show so much strength the other option is folding, which is prob. less variance, since you're flipping at best |

Re: FT200 Pair+flushdraw gets ACTION
Er folding is no way an option here given the odds (implied and direct) we are getting. I think 3betting and calling are pretty similar.

shoving's nice cause it looks strong and may fold out MP's larger FD [/ QUOTE ] With that stack size I doubt MP is folding anything. So when we shove we will propably be flipping at best if UTG folds. If UTG also calls we are crushed. I think I would fold. Calling obv. sucks. |

[/ QUOTE ] No I'm not. You can still profitably call here because direct and implieds minus the reverses still mean a call is +EV. I'm actually leaning towards a shove now because of the fact we can fold higher FDs (or get in money vs them with an equity advantage), Qs etc, and also because 55 is pretty unlikely. |

call. i think utg is a bit less likely to have a draw here simply because he limped utg

Re: FT200 Pair+flushdraw gets ACTION
yeah i wasnt really getting at that though. I just was observing that villain has showed some passive tendancies. So I just think it's reasonbly likely that he would play a draw passively. Which makes my decision a call. I don't think the board is drawy enough to get it in here anyway imo

Re: FT200 Pair+flushdraw gets ACTION
I like raising here.
I would say all-in, but making it 110 probably looks stronger. It's clear the money going in on turn, and looks maybe less like draw than allin. The thing is, you'll often be against a better hand and a better draw. If you put in big raise, both QJ and bigger flush draw are likely to fold. |
