First hand i don't like, because the SB basically has 40% of his stack in the hand and he's obviosly not folding, i'd shove over him with like K8+ and A5+ probably, in that spot i just like to check and get it in if you hit any piece of the flop. Second hand okay, i think yuo can get away with a fold here just because of the stack sizes and you are right at 10 BBs, if you had 8 or lower i would be shoving that hand all day.

But he's only got 675 left, I have 500 in the pot from the BB, and the pot is already 1k. And I have a connecting hand... Checking and then folding when I miss the flop seems bad.. no?

The second hand, I think he is only calling with top 10% (or less).. sngegt says its +0.6% EV if he is... I'm not sure that is small enough to pass.

If you complete brick the flop most of the time he's limping there with a hand like Qx Kx Ax, then you only have like a 25% chance of winning the hand if you both miss the flop and your only getting 2.5:1 odds. I'd be getting it in with ANY type of draw or pair against his completing range. Also checking behind allows you to bet out the flop if he checks and you will have at least a tiny bit of FE as opposed to PF. That's just my 2c and how i would play the hand.

Yeah it's a very thin shove i think his range could be a little wider as well, so i think you can fold but either way is fine honestly.

Both hands are OK.

Hand #1 you're basically putting in t675 to win t1675 (because no way villain is folding) so you're getting almost 2.5 to 1. And even if you lose, you'll still have almost 10bb.

Hand #2 is standard ICM question, and if he's calling with {44+,A8s+,ATo+,KQs+} it's like +.6% for a push. However, I might fold this depending on a situation, e.g. I've been raising a lot and he's a donk and been fed up with me, because the push becomes -EV if BB is calling {33+,A4o+,A2s+,KJo+,KTs+} or wider...

hand 1 is fine. i don't particularly like hand 2, for same reason pocketbear says. just changing the ranges by a little bit makes this a 'bad' play. it's really read dependant and if i don't have a read on my opponent i prefer a fold since most randoms are calling too wide ITM.
