Ron Paul reading lists
The famous list for Giuliani and a list for economics.
Who here has read these books and would recommend them? And what other books on economics/monetary policy and foreign policy would you recommend? |

#0 - The Theory of Money and Credit by Ludwig von Mises
http://www.mises.org/books/Theory_Mo.../Contents.aspx This is sort of like the Theory of Poker except for life instead of poker. #1 The Quotable Mises. Exactly what it sounds like. http://www.mises.org/books/quotablemises.pdf #2 - Freedom Under Seige by Ron Paul http://www.mises.org/books/freedomsiege.pdf #3 - Gold, Peace and Prosperity by Ron Paul http://www.mises.org/books/goldpeace.pdf #4 - As We Go Marching by John Flynn http://www.mises.org/books/aswegomarching.pdf |

Re: Ron Paul reading lists
As far as economics go I'd add Rothbard's "Man, Economy, and State" because it's just a great work and treats all the topics that are important in a very clear and convincing manner.
"Economics in One Lesson" is the perfect "first econ book". I've given mine to a lot of people and everyone loved it. Because I think socialist tendencies are on the rise again I'd also recoomend Mises' excellent work on it. Since it's a Ron Paul list and the 9/11 report is on it one might as well add "The Constitution" :P Man, Economy and State Socialism |
