I recently bought Copaq. They are really slippery. A friend uses Modiano, and I really prefer them. That's the next one I'll buy, unless I see the DN and like them better.

My DNs are quite a bit more slippery than either my Copags or my Mondianos (the least slippery). Everything I read said "DN!", but when I began to bring setups from various vendors to my home games, the Mondiano was the overwhelming favorite.

Stick with KEMs or COPAGs... You can get them at a good value on eBay, brand new...

Personally, I generally like the look of the COPAGs over the Kems, but the Kems seem to have a slightly nicer "feel" to them... YMMV...

You can't go wrong with either.

As far as the decks, I think the jumbo indexes work well at home games... Easier for people to read the board...

I have Copags and Modianos. I like them both equally, but I think the copags have a breaking in period with the slipperyness. After about three games the slipping in the shuffle/deal process is gone, but they can still glide a mile on the vinyl material of my tables.

Dal Negros are the best IMO (Disclaimer: I haven't used Modiano)

I'm curious to know why some like the narrower bridge cards than the normal poker-sized?

Once I played in an MTT at a bar where the 'tables' were pool tables topped by a piece of plywood, covered with a green plastic cloth. It was fun trying to deal those Copags just right to each player. I think I got pretty good at it.

Narrower cards are easier to handle, shuffle, and deal.

There's a fairly expansive review of plastic playing cards on the Home Poker Tourney website. HPT Playing card reviews

I've used KEM, Copag and Modiano so far. While I love the look of the [4-pip] Modianos, they really aren't as durable as KEM or Copag as they started showing wear after about the 4th game. And, as pfapfap eluded to above, their packaging sucks.

Copag just came out with a 4-pip design, but I can't find them in a bridge size (narrow). IMO, as many others have mentioned, the narrow size is much easier to manage (shuffle, deal, etc).

I've played in a several casinos that use KEM and my current favorite room uses Modiano's. I've always liked everything about the KEMs, the feel of the Mo's is okay but I notice that they always seem to be cupped/bowed. This may be due to the cardroom's lack of replacing or improper storage but I'm personally not buying them.

After reading all the advice and checking the reviews at Home Poker Tourney I purchased a set of Copag, KEM & a set of Dal Negro from CaraGails.com (all bridge/2pip/2color. I need 3 sets for an upcoming home tourney so I thought I'd try 3 different. I'll let post my opinion after some use.

I thought about getting 4pip and 4color but I play at several cardrooms and don't want to get used to my cards and risk getting confused at the cardroom.
