Dealer forgot to give change
Playing 1/2 nl live, someone raises to 12 i call by throwing in 15. Dealer deals flop, original raiser bets. action on me, i say "uh preflop raise was to 12 right?" dealer agrees, then i say "you never gave me change..." then dealer says "it's too late." Is this correct? If so, at what point is it not too late to correct the mistake?
it seems silly that it's "too late" because it's a trivial matter to figure out how much is in the pot and how much should actually be in the pot. |

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
Totally ridiculous. He should give you back your change right away.

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
Call the floor, you should get your change.
If you win the hand this becomes a moot point. |

Re: Dealer forgot to give change

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
The next three times you win a hand while this dealer is dealing, let him know that his tip is funding the three bucks he stole from you.

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
It's obviously not "too late". Call the floor, get your change, and don't tip this dealer for the rest of the down. |

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
This gives you a reason to never tip him again, without the effects of karma screwing you. Thus this is an outstanding development, and is quite -EV for him.

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
The winner should have gave it back to you. He is just as much of a nit as the dealer.
BTW the dealer is wrong. You can get your change right up to when the pot is pushed. As for not making a big deal about it, grow some balls and stick up for yourself. If you don't make a big deal about it then it will keep happening. |

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
As a dealer I have to say: It's not TOO LATE. That is ridiculous. There are times I forget to make change for someone (if there is alot of change to be made preflop), but usually someone will speak up and tell me, which I promptly make them change and apologize.
If I'm playing and I get this response, I laugh and say "no, really, you forgot my change I threw out 3 red on that call". If I get the same response, I stop the game and call floor because this dealer has an issue. |

Re: Dealer forgot to give change
Call the floor, stop the action, get your $3 back, and never tip this dealer again.
