Default 1/2 - gross turn spot

1/2 6m

utg has weird stats, 30/1/.5 over a big sample, never bets without the nutz or a near lock
the sb is a lagmoron like 60/30

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets, SB calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (3 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets, SB raises, Hero ?

i was reviewing this hand with another 2p2er and we both think it might (if applicable obviously) be a potential spot for the rare turn 3bet and fold to a cap (or maybe call 2 cold and fold to a cap) line

what do you guys think?

I lead the flop a lot. Id 3 bet and call down a cap. I dont really like folding to the cap unless you have a VERY strong read that he wont cap unless hes full. He could very well think that KT is the nuts here.

I always bet this flop in a limped pot. I threebet turn and don't fold to a cap from a moron.

This doesn't look gross at all at the moment. Easy 3bet. Very likely that UTG has a ten and SB has two cards.

If UTG caps folding is probably correct given your description, but that's a tough fold to make at the table.

To those of you that suggest 3-betting and folding to a cap: The pot is getting awfully big at this point, I don't see how you can fold... I guess it depends on how strong your read on UTG. I'm not an expert on interpretting PokerTracker stats, but if his aggression factor is 0.5 that means he is betting or raising half as often as he calls, right? I think he must be betting or raising a few other hands besides the nuts or his aggression factor would be very close to 0.

anyone that folds this turn should stop playing poker.

However, if the final board is JJTT7, or JTT77, then you can fold, or JTT7T

3bet turn, call down,

bet flop

I three bet. He definately has a ten and you want this guy to pay you off, get your chips in there. He will always wait for the turn to raise here with a ten, you are ahead a lot more than you are behind and agressive betting is a moneymaker here. Okay if he 4 bets he maybe has jt but you pay him off. No way I fold this!
