NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
Hero (SB): $633.60 BB: $383.42 UTG: $400.00 CO: $386.00 BTN: $436.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players) 3 folds, Hero raises to $16.00, BB calls $12.00 Flop: ($32) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, BB checks Turn: ($32) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $24.00, BB calls $24.00 River: ($80) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $52.00, BB raises to $150.00, Hero raises all-in to $593.60 Villian is standard tag, but I have notes that he plays draws aggressively. On this hand I put my read to the test and decided he didn't have a draw or he'd have raised the flop. The flush raises the turn also. So he either has air, a 9, or a smaller pocket most of the time, right? Hows my line? |

Re: NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
What are you representing? 22? 66? Do you really check this flop with a 7 or a flush draw? I think odds are he was just completely full of it.

Re: NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
I wasn't thinking so much about what I was representing, but just what he wasn't. Is that wise? When I decided to raise the river it was because I couldn't put him on a hand, and the reraise didn't change that.

Re: NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
Yeah, I mean it's hard to put him on a legitimate hand here, but it's also hard to put you on a legitimate hand. If he's sharp he could raise something like a 9 here to induce a bluff-shove from air or a thin call from some sort of pocket pair since both your lines look dubious.
Your bluff pretty much only folds out A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] as far as I can tell, which I'm not sure makes up enough of his range to justify pushing. |

I'd c-bet here most of the time, is that a mistake?

Re: NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
what is it with people posting "is this a good bluff?" hands and obv not giving a [censored] about what they rep. srsly, this is the 3rd or 4th hand today where heros line is FOS.
also, hows your read consistent with your play? you say he hasnt got a draw, you check the flop and bet two streets when the flush hits, how come you think hed raise air(im including smaller PPs here) edit: cbetting any2 on any board HU is hardly ever a mistake. |

Re: NL400 sbvsbb KQ river reraise bluff
If I'm BB here, I reraise a Cbet here a lot. This flop doesn't really hit a SB vs BB opening range ( ie most K's and A's). So I generally only C-bet really good flops on sb vs bb against good opponents
