HORSE limits for home game?
I am having a cash game at my house soon and I had a friend request to play some mixed games. My response was that if we have enough people interested I would have one of the tables play Horse or hose.
It looks like I have enough people to play at a table now but the thing is since I suck at and dont really play stud games I have no idea what to set the limits and antes to. The NLHE table will be $.50/1 blinds and the max buy in would be $200, but most people will be buying in for 80-100. I would want the limits to be similar for that kind of buy in and blinds. Obviously the HE and Omaha would be limit and not NL so I would guess the blinds would be 1/2 or 2/4? Help? |

Re: HORSE limits for home game?
Yes, either 1/2 or 2/4 is about right for HORSE as compared to $200NL. You will also be surprised at the amount of action relative to $200NL at those limits. You get more chasers in limit, which builds pots. Plus, the split pot games get action, too.

Re: HORSE limits for home game?
I'd keep the blinds the same. 1/2 HORSE should be plenty big for people who are buying in for $100 or so, especially if it's an action game.
