What does it take to outrun the fuzz?
I'm sure this is very situational and its obv easier for bikes on the highway, but i'm talking escaping and making it to a safe place succesfully.
This has been something I've kinda had in the back of my mind since I was pulled over for 100mph in a 45 right past a hidden popo. From the momemt I pulled over I was wondering if I could have kept enough of a lead to completely lose him. Now its something I really want to succesfully do someday just for the rush of actually doing it. Is this Messed up or does anyone else secretly want to do this? Would you just get wreckless driving and evading? I'f your not doing anything but speeding down a rural road like I was then the punishment isnt that bad is it? |

Ive thought the same thing. Obv you could never do it in a city and it would be hard on an interstate since they can radio ahead and put out APBs and such. Im sure a dirt bike or street bike on a country road could do it. You could prob do in a car, but would have to ditch it eventually.

I would say around 445 horsepower and somewhere between 2 and 6 wheels on your vehicle.

I live in Iowa so in my case it was a crown vic versus me on a rural road.
This is the car that inspired this post http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b60jU...ed&search= 2009 Nissan Gt-R Its awd, like 450hp out the box and is aiming to contend with the porsche 911. |

Supposedly a friend of mine was driving drunk in the suburbs when a cop went to pull him over. He sped away, turned a corner, pulled into a driveway, turned his lights off, and the fuzz passed right by.

Re: What does it take to outrun the fuzz?
Start off safe and work your way up. Next time you're spotted by a cop on the other side of a divided highway, haul ass and turn onto some side roads. If at any point the cop gets close enough for you to actually see him in your rearview mirror, you can pull over and probably not even get busted for trying to evade. This is pretty easy to pull off if you're smart about it, and it feels great.
The only other time I legitimately ran from a cop was in a car and on a road that could sustain 160, and I'm pretty sure I had been clocked around 120. That was not as much fun, because I knew I would be screwed if I was caught. Running from a cop that you don't have a huge head start on, and when you can't play off like you never saw him will almost always be a bad idea. In either case, don't go out looking for a chase, just be aware of what kind of situations give you a good chance, and whenever you end up in one of those situations, go for it. |
