Default WPX 20/40 - Whatever, I\'m not folding.

Same villain as before actually, he's too loose and too aggressive even for a juiced up 6 handed 20/40 game.

I open in the CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], he calls in the small blind, the big blind folds.

Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
He checkraises, I call.

Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
He bets, I call.

River 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
He bets, I call.

What rivers would you fold? (maybe this is on the list?)

Turn raise seems fine. I'd 3 bet the flop generally and power through. Never folding no matter what comes just a question of how many bets.

I'm not sure whether or not to 3-bet the flop or to raise the turn here. I'd probably 3-bet the flop.

I 3bet the flop because I never want the turn to go b/r/3b. I think when he caps the flop, it is very often with a draw that will continue to fire. When he 3bets our turn raise, it is rarely with a draw or weaker hand, but often enough that we have to call down.

i dont know why people want to 3bet the flop...once he checkraises the flop you have about 50 percent equity vs his range i would think so 3betting just allows you to getting owned by a better hand or let air off the hook.

edit - here's what i came up with when stoving it. tell me if you think i need to tweak villian's range given the action so far:

Board: 7c 8d Ts
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 32.671% 31.70% 00.98% 17258 531.50 { Ac8h }
Hand 1: 67.329% 66.35% 00.98% 36129 531.50 { Q9s-Q7s, J9s-J7s, T7s, 96s, 65s, KTo, QTo, JTo }

Do you not think it's worth seeing the turn before we make an aggressive action, a few turns are gonna have us wishing we didn't have the initiative, and with joker's stove we're not even a favorite currently, although I think he could add a couple more semibluffing hands, but I still don't think we're a favorite.

On the turn, is this a raise to make yourself harder to play against when we have a semibluffing hand? It seems we don't have immediate value in a vacuum, correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I do here. I raise the turn and hope for a free show down.

Also, does this opponent know the proper way to play the small blind vs a possible steal? Does he usually raise or fold? This flat call is very suspicious.

I think you should add Ax and any pocket pair (below TT probably for the preflop) to this range. And maybe some more hands to describe the ability the WPEX guys have to show up with 62s here.

yeah. and also some hands with an 8 in them like 68, 89, and the likes of T9s, etc. The range you have there is waaaaayyyy small.
