Not sure if this is the right forum for this.
In the last few days, when I try and use Sharkscope, most of the page loads, but the left column which normally has boxes for input of searches etc. remains blank. This is with Firefox, when I use IE the page just hangs. These problems are on my desktop computer, and yet my laptop works fine. |

Yes I did do that.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but Norton found a Trojan this morning. I deleted it using Norton, ran a clean scan and tried the web site again, but it still isn't working. |

In Firefox: Tools>Options>Content tick the box where it says ' Enable JavaScript'. That might solve the problem. If that doesn't help then maybe you can check your software firewall, if you use any, and see if scripts are blocked.

[/ QUOTE ] I have had similar problems with pages not rendering properly in Firefox. It has been caused by both Avast and Kaspersky AV. Before anyone jumps on it , not at the same time . What AV are you using? Also, Ladbrokespoker causes browser problems for me |

I contacted Sharkscope and they suggested it might be my AV software. I use Norton and tried briefly turning it off while the page loaded, but it still won't completely load.
I've also deleted temp internet files etc and made sure that Javascript is enabled. At least Firefox partially loads, Internet Explorer just hangs. |

If you have javascript enabled, I suggest that you install a firefox add on called noscript. It blocks scripts by default and you can then allow sites that you trust to run scripts, allways or temporarily, from an options button at the bottom of the page.
In firefox go to tools>addons>get extensions search noscript IE7 right? if not do MS updates. You could try temporarily adding sharkscope to your trusted zone to see if anything is being blocked by your browser. Are you using any anti spyware apart from Norton, if so what? A good option for removing temporary files is CCleaner. Most people see a speed increase. If you install this do not install the yahoo toolbar unless you want it. |

Another thought, try running firefox in safe mode.
start>programs>mozilla firefox>mozilla firefox(safemode) don't tick any boxes just continue in safe mode and try sharkscope again. Please post back any results |
