Credit Cards.... Again
I am looking at applying for a business credit card and a personal one. I don't really spend more money on any one thing than really any other (more or less a smattering of random things will be charged), but am curious what differences I should be aware of when I look for cards.
What suggestions do you guys have? |

Re: Credit Cards.... Again
1. Get one that has no annual fee
2. Try to find one that gives you minumum 2% back on all purchases. 3. Do not get one through some unknown fly by night bank and one that offers 24/7 customer service. 4. Most reputable cards do, but make sure they give you a grace period on purchases. The last thing you want is being charged interest immediately upon a purchase. |

Re: Credit Cards.... Again
I believe there is a thread here at 2+2 that has a list of the top promotional credit cards.
Perhaps a mod or somebody can find a link to it. Believe certain American Express Blue cards offer this feature.......and many cards run promotions for signing up that offer back 2-10% for the 30-365 day beginning promotional period. |

Re: Credit Cards.... Again
Not sure what the "best" card is (probably varies from person to person) but I think this card is good as a primary card for random purchases:
http://www.firstusa.com/cgi-bin/webcgi/w...CLUKRKQCnjV8IIQ 0% APR for 12 months and 1% back on purchases. There are probably a lot of cards out there with more rewards, but I'm not aware of any that also have 0% APR. In some sense I think the 0% APR is more important because you are essentially getting up to 5% back (in the savings account interest that you are not forgoing) on your purchases. Of course that effect is greater on the earlier purchases, but I still think it probably adds up to more for most people. If you do some research there are tons of cards that are good for particular purchases or good for specific types of rewards like hotels. Fatwallet has a lot of good advice on stuff like that. |

Re: Credit Cards.... Again
Ah, I'll likely pay off my purchases each month so I don't really have to bother tracking them etc. So I'm mostly looking for the most +EV rewards in the 2k-10k range of monthly expenses.
Are there any notable differences between a business card and a personal card that I should take into consideration? |
