I want to use one computer to operate two computers
I have two computers. One for playing and everyday stuff and one for data mining and that kind of stuff.
Is it possible to comfortably run both computers from one screen? I have tried MaxiVista (one of the versions) and it allows me to do that, but not comfortably... I have to change the screen settings to what I want every time I start MaxiVista and because of that it kind of loses it's advantages. Do you know of any software I can use to comfortably run two computers from one screen? |

If they are close to each other, get a KVM.
If they are not, try Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection. |

A warning about playing poker through any remote desktop program. Serious sites might suspect you of botting since remote desktop is an excellent way of hiding any bot software. I wouldn't do it if I were you.

Re: I want to use one computer to operate two computers
Although it might not be the solution you seek, my monitor for example has two cable connections, and I could simply press the button on the front to switch from one computer's display to the other.

I won't be playing poker while "remote controlling", so that is no problem. I would like a solution where I don't even need to have a monitor for the second computer (no continuous settings or whatever). I'll check out KVM

If they are close to each other, get a KVM. [/ QUOTE ] That looks kind of cool and like something that will always come handy, although maybe overkill. Which model or brand would you recommend if my main priorities are that it is easy and pain free to switch and that it is reliable and easy to get started with? |

Newegg is a good place to get reviews. |

Newegg is a good place to get reviews. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks on that good advice. I have heard about NewEgg, but haven't considered going there to read reviews. |

Re: I want to use one computer to operate two computers
If you have an LCD like the Samsung 204b/t and probably the Dell too - you can already use one monitor for two computers.
Just run one off the analog and one off of the digital signal. There is a switch source button on the monitor. |
