Effective stacks are 100
1st hand at the table, no reads. UTG limps, +2 minraises, MP calls, I call, UTG calls 4 to the flop for $4. I have 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I just came out firing $2. Would you be looking to do it any differently? |

Reads? Is villain a drooler or tricky?
Basically, if I think villain has a clue then the EP min-raise looks like a trap. In this case I just c/c the flop as aces is going to be betting heavy. If villain is clueless just start getting money in the pot. |

This is my standard line as well. I am interested in other opinions. If it were heads up, I might check, but with 4 people, slow playing will get you burned.

With this particular scenario, I think a check is better. There are no big draws out there. The minraise pf doesn't mean a big hand. You have now squeezed UTG and if the pf raiser postures at this pot (or has a legit hand) he will knock out the other villain with a raise.
I would prefer to check and monitor the action myself. |

I like this line as it begs PFR to pop you. I think a checkraise gives him a chance to get away. It also looks like you are taking a stab since the flop probably missed everyone (but you of course).

I bet more on the flop instead. $3.5 looks good.
Slowplaying here sucks. |

For those that say check.. Is it with the intention of c/ring. If so, why don't you just flip over your 7, it is that obvious. If you are check calling, then what? Do we bet any turn? Check again? Does it matter if anyone else calls the cb from UTG+1?

Don't check. Your flop bet is fine, maybe it should be a little more though. You want to build the pot up with this hand.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think you can sell that you are taking a stab by betting into 3 players in a raised pot that you didn't raise. You would need a very aggro image for that sell. Maybe if you were last to act and it checked to you. I think you are selling a jack or a small pp. The problem is that it might be very likely that a J is good enough to pick up the pot. |

I like betting, and if raised flat call, then maybe check call lead river. This is assuming villain is agg enough to bet turn. |
