Default Playing 50BB game

I normally play 50NL FR online, but this weekend, I'm going to the casino to play 1/2NL with 100max buy-in. I'm normally used to starting with 100BBs as I dont shortstack. I imagine 50BB buy-in is alot more restrictive. What type of adjustments should I make?

Wow. That sucks. Generally live play is a lot looser so the preflop raisng tends to be bigger, like 6-8x bb. You won't have the implied odds to play marginal hands, suited connectors and small pairs. Stick with positional play and strong hands. I wouldn't try to get too fancy as the stacks won't be deep enough. Preflp raise and reraise could be 20-30% of total stacks. Of course I could be wrong, but play it tight to start until you get a feel for the game.

Please forgive if OT, but i keep reading that there is always a relative low max. Buy-In in the US.. why is this ? A 1/2 NL game over here will usually be min. 50€ max 200€.

Because, at least from my experience, most pots in a 1/2 NL game end up being ~50$ in chips. If you buy in for $50 dollars, are you really willing to use half your stack the first hand you enter? Anything less than $50 in a 1-2 NL game you are going to be crushed.
