Re: How to defend AK?
[ QUOTE ]
I definitely had to raise the turn, then the SB might have folded. Giving up TPTK for one bet in a pit that large. Isn't that the biggest mistake? Can I be more than 14% sure that I'm beaten? [/ QUOTE ] SB has been totally comatose, but then makes a really strong river move. The old adage about not folding for one bet in a large pot is not gospel; consider why the pot has got so large and who's doing the betting. |

Re: How to defend AK?
[quoteUnless UTG was a maniac, he probably had a better hand than you when he capped the flop.
[/ QUOTE ] Could be, but I think I probably cap w AQ and maybe even AJ here also. |

Re: How to defend AK?
You are behind to UTG on the flop already. Calling down is okay, even though you must expect to lose. The river c/r is a certain sign that you are beaten two ways, so a fold here prolly is fine...
IMO capping the flop with AQ and AJ against normal players is leak. [ QUOTE ] Can I be more than 14% sure that I'm beaten? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. |

[/ QUOTE ] If I think about it and look at the hand, I wasn't in the lead it was UTG. I was actually more than 14% sure, actually it was pretty clear to me. |

Re: How to defend AK?
Yeah, river is a fold the second time without any particular reads.
