You should have bet the flop. With his range besides this particular hand, he may have hit the flop and will raise your bet into him. No reason to give him a free card or try for a c/r which is basically telling him you have a set or two pair. Build the pot now, and bet the flop and hope he builds it up for you. Sucks that he hit his gutshot on the turn but as you played it, I dont think its a fold ever.
As CO his range is too wide for just 79. |

Don't include the results in your next posts, it can bias responses.
Anyway, no, you can't fold a set here and you should be loving the action, IMO. I agree that you might think of leading at this flop UNLESS you also check raise these sorts of flops with air. |

It's 100NL. Instead of getting fancy with metagame I would try to simply build my pots with my sets instead of c/rs and stuff but I havent played 100NL in many months.
