those sick break even stretches
Im currently playing 100NL. I got like 15k hands in so far, not much really. But i ran well. Then i proceed to read the forum, and read about pple killing the game for 100k hands and more, and then breaking even for 50K+ hands. That kinda stuff scares me, and i always wonder, will it happen to me? And how much does luck have to do with it?
So for you mathematics, is it likely that i run good the next 100K hands or so and then suddenl have a sick sick break even stretch?? That is if my edge is just as big as the last 100k hands, and not start tilting all the time and all. I dont think i can handle breaking even for that long and keep playing well. |

Re: those sick break even stretches
I'm no mathematic, but I'd say it's unlikely but not unreasonable.

Re: those sick break even stretches
The higher you play, the tougher it gets and the more likely you will have longer periods of break even poker. Since you play 100nl, a 50k break even stretch is highly unlikely (unless you play bad obviously) but a 20k break even stretch is not out of the question.
I am pulling these numbers below based on personal experience so dont look to far into them. When worst comes to worst considering you grind these cash game levels a significant amount you can expect; 40k+ Break even at 200nl 60k+ break even at 600nl 80k+ break even at 1knl |
