NL200 - Q7o in blind battle flop trips.
Villain is 27/25/13 over 80:ish hands. Seems pretty aggro so his range is probably very wide here. What are arguments for smooth calling versus raising? 3-betting folds out a lot of weaker hands but the board is also semi-drawy so we could be facing tough desicions on later streets.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) HERO (SB): $293.50 BB: $200.00 UTG: $200.05 CO: $369.65 BTN: $132.15 Preflop: HERO is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players) 3 folds, HERO raises to $7.00, BB calls $5.00 Flop: ($14) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) HERO bets $11.00, BB raises to $38.00 Call and c/r turn? Call and lead blank turn? Or 4-bet all in (could be seen as a bluff/draw)? |

Re: NL200 - Q7o in blind battle flop trips.
I'd make it $90 and call a shove. 3 betting allin doesn't allow him to think he has any FE with draws that he might push but won't call getting a bad price.

Aggression factor of 13??? I like 3bet, but I also like call c/r or even call, lead-out turn. No matter what you get it in.

I didnt see the agro factor first, I'd just call, he's raising so wide, try to get another bet out of his air by check raising the turn.

I'm popping it right here. Same thing I'd do with a draw.
80 hands isn't reliable for AF, really. He'll often surprise you by taking the card on the turn. |

Is this a typical open for you? I don't really see any reason to get involved OOP with such a weak reverse implied odds hand versus a good aggro player.

Re: NL200 - Q7o in blind battle flop trips.
why raise pf with Q 7 off? you hit a good flop but that's pure chance. given that he's extremely agressive and he is behind you...i wouldn't even play this hand, just fold preflop.
but since you did, i don't think calling is right since the board is draw heavy with the two hearts and straight. so raise here and make him pay to draw if indeed he's drawing. |
