only 1 PCI-E slot
I have 2 Dell 2007 20" Monitors, driven by my Geforce 7800GT PCI-E.
Now I want to add a Dell 3007 30" Monitor and ordered a GeForce 8600 GTS 256 MB PCI-E card. Card hasn't arrived yet, but today I noticed, I only have one PCI-E slot on my PC What to do now? Are there any PCI cards that support 2560x1600? Otherwise I need to keep the new card, burn my old one and get another cheap PCI card to drive one of my 2007s, right? Please help a confused PC noob |

i dont think there are any pci cards out supporting that resolution, but if you have a agp-slot you could get a gfx 7900 GS,which works perfectly for me. hope this helps asteroid |

Re: only 1 PCI-E slot
There are plenty of PCI cards that support 1600x1200. You could buy 2 of those...

Re: only 1 PCI-E slot
You should have a PCI E x1 slot on your computer too.
Here is a PCI E x1 card that says it does 2560x1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161079 here is a PCI card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161074 |

Re: only 1 PCI-E slot
Oh wonder, my old 7800GT did the Job with 2560x1600
Maybe someone can add this card to the Monitor FAQ? I sent the 8600 back and got a cheap FX 5200 for the 3rd monitor. and last but not least, the brag pic ... |
