Tutorial VS Lectures
I am a first year student going to a Canadian University in the fall and most of my courses are "Tutorials" and I only have two "Lectures" each week.
What is a tutorial? |

Re: Tutorial VS Lectures
Usually more hands-on, what university are you going to?

Re: Tutorial VS Lectures
Tutorials are probably small (30-40) person classes taught by a grad student.
Lectures will probably be more like 200 to 300 people and taught by a professor. |

Re: Tutorial VS Lectures
Tutorials are small classes taught by grad students and are usually more focused on the assignments you get throughout the term.

Re: Tutorial VS Lectures
Tutorials are usually taught by TA's and a lot of times you get homework or lecture review.

Re: Tutorial VS Lectures
Tutorials are basically a class room, like at school. Where you'll work through the lecture material doing questions etc on it and can ask for help.
