Getting a job as a foreign student
Can i find a job in the US if i decide to go there for like 2-3 months?
I don't need a visa for under 3 months stay, but if i could i'd cut my expenses of the trip by working some amount. Do i need a working visa for that? Thanks |

Re: Getting a job as a foreign student
Not if you work under the table that doesn't require tax filings. You can usually find this sort of jobs at a restaurant or boba places or just wait around Home Depot

Re: Getting a job as a foreign student
Hit up Wal-Mart or go to your student employment office or whatever handles that. If the school does not have something like that, reconsider the school you're going to.

Re: Getting a job as a foreign student
do you know what your immigration status is? if you are an f-1, you will need authorization to work any off-campus job, and even then the job must be related to what you're studying (with a few exceptions)

Re: Getting a job as a foreign student
I shall check into that. I know that these statuses are pretty important (f-1, c-1 etc) and are limiting (opening) you new possibilities.
