Default Stars Million Final Table steal re-raise

Here's a very questionable steal re-raise from the Sunday PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Million, Big Blind is t400000 (7 handed)

MP2 (t14013050)
CO (t10232141)
Button (t5969592)
SB (t20043463)
BB (t5091642)
UTG (t6997774)
MP1 (t6702338)

Preflop: Button is dealt 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to t1000000</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to t5929592</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 tanks...

I think that this play is bad and instafold but a friend thinks that with an M of just over 7 it was right to gamble big time?

How do final table gambles get evaluated considering the very top heavy payout structure?

Is it correct to be tight with M=7 and move up a couple of spots or should these wild plays be recommended?

Do ICM calculations change the way final table hands are played?

The initial raiser was raising around 15% of hands pre-flop and assuming he was willing to call with only the top 7% this re-raise looks to be very slightly +EV... the real question is whether marginal +EV plays should be made for all your chips at a final table?

reads?

Just so you know... this post is fairly worthless because of the incomplete information.

In a nutshell reraising with 49o is probably a bad play... is that the answer that you are looking for?

Also, you should not post results (MP2 called) of the hands that you post in the future.

Thanks for your feedback, I have modified post to remove results - please do the same with your post above if you have time, thanks.

No other reads apart from the initial raiser having recently won a big pot ~4Million from the re-raiser after putting him all in following a standard C bet from re-raiser.
