Default AK, is calling down bad here?

villain is unknown, but open limped in the CO, so make of that what you will.

I'm only starting out in short-handed...

I think you can fold this.

If you are behind, even if you count your overcards for a full 6 outs, you still don't have the odds to call.

If you are planning on showing down UI, you are getting around 3:1 to call down.

Right or wrong, I call down against an unknown here.

Edit: There are a lot of river cards I'd fold to.

On a board like this I'm calling down against unknowns unless a scare card (there are quite a few of these) falls on the river. I'm not sure this is right against a CO open limper though.

I think I could fold if the river brings a 5, 3, or 8... not sure about a diamond though.

i dont think someone who openlimps from the co is aggressive enough to c/r a draw or air here often enough to make a CD profitable. my guess is you will see (broadway)7 suited here a lot. given the smallish pot i think there is no shame in folding the turn

call down.

When you play hands like this remember all those times that the people in your games check through top pair, check call middle pair, and then give this guy a range. It's a bad draw or like JTo a LOT of the time.

People are so [censored] bad at this game lol.
