Default Stars $3 Rebuy - After rebuy period, clash with other big stack

PLEASE give me any feedback on any street here. Results soon...Villain is 39%/14%/2AF after 129 hands. Raise seemed a bit high preflop so I just called.

I lead the flop there, but I understand it the check.

I think you need to bet more like 1800 on flop. If raised there, I'm either pushing, or if you think he's got a set of tens folding. I guess you managed to keep the pot as small as possible though.

I like the check-call on river.

Definitely interested in other comments though.

This guy was just so unpredictable. He was Daniel Negreanu-ish. I watched him limp with KK UTG, and just call a min raise from the SB after the BB called too. He raised 8bbs 2 hands later after a limper behind and showed QTs. Called A4os preflop after I raised 6bbs in CO when he was the only limper so far. LAG, but an excellent post-flop player.

I was REALLY lost in this hand...and after loading up with my multi-tabling, I hadn't been able to watch him much since the last blind level.

Villain had AA. Could have lost more, but wonder if leading the flop would have helped. I'm guessing I would have been pushed right there, and then working on a larger pot and bets for the turn and river. Who knows...

I think you played this hand fine. The PF call is good because the money is deep and JJ can be dubious, and reraising is gonna have you playing a bloated pot OOP. Checking the flop is fine too for pot control. Your turn lead is gonna get raised b/c of it's size so I would have bet closer to 2/3 pot. River check is mandatory as is the call. All in all GH. I think this is a good example of maintaining pot control throughout a hand and it started with not bloating the pot OOP with a marginal hand with deep money PF.
