kobe wants out
kobe wants out
would the lakers seriously consider trading him? they'd probably glue his hands to the ball to make him play...no way they would trade him. |

Re: kobe wants out
Does he have any opt out clauses coming up in the near future?
Seems easy to make a trade for a player to make him happy- JOneal, KG, etc..cept Buss seems unwilling to trade Odom or that young kid. |

There's zero chance he ever gets traded. The guy is a cash cow.

[ QUOTE ] Go to Knicks plzkthx [/ QUOTE ] You mean the rumors of Vince Carter coming to the Knicks don't excite you? [ QUOTE ] There's zero chance he ever gets traded. The guy is a cash cow. [/ QUOTE ] He still has 4 years left at about 19.5 M per year, so yes matching up the contract would be difficult, but there are definitely teams willing to take that on for Kobe. |

[/ QUOTE ] Problem is that no one wants to trade a guy like KG or O'Neal for Odom, and if Bynum is part of the deal, it becomes difficult to match salaries b/c Bynum is on a rookie contract. The Lakers are pretty much stuck... Unless they deal Kobe, which as a long-time Laker fan, I hope they do. As long as Kobe is in purple and gold, the Lakers will not win another title, period. Aside from his selfish play hurting the team on the court, his MO of throwing everyone under the bus (Shaq, Kupchack, Buss, Malone, his current teammates) makes it so no star player would ever want to play with him. This is probably as good a supporting cast as he'll ever see again in LA, and that's not saying much. |

Re: kobe wants out
I meant he's a money making machine for them. He keeps peoples asses in the Staple Center. Who could they shop him for where they're not getting 75 cents to the dollar or worse? And whoever that is, how awful will the Lakers be?
