Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
after reading the posts i agree with fretelöo that a pf raise would be good A9o does not work that well in multiway pots

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
[ QUOTE ]
Also, I'm not too much of a fan of your PF-limp. A9o isn't a great multi-way hand. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, it was a pretty close decision for me, but I decided to limp with it... [ QUOTE ] I don't think your cap was a very good play IMO [/ QUOTE ] I kinda figured that. Anyone with TPTK/TPGK would 3-bet that flop, but with that Ace on the board, these hands woulda raised PF... Would A3s really be able to just call first and then cap after that 3-bet? Even though there is no draw (except for a 4-out wheel draw for 24), I usually never slowplay two pair... any reasoning for this? |

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
*Grunch*
I usually calls down in the situations. A set of 3 is the most likely hand he holds. AA and 99 is unlikely because of pf action and your holding. |

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
With those stats, I would put his range on A9s, A3s, or 33. I think he would be likely to raise 99 in that position with those stats, so I think that's in the range, but not very likely.
He's not playing that aggressively without at least 2 pair. However, if you call down on the turn and river, then you are getting odds of 11.7 BB: 2 BB or nearly 6:1 pot odds. Do you think there is at least a 16% chance that he could have A3s? I do, so I would say call down, but expect to lose more than you win. |

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
this is crying call down once he call/3-bets the flop, not close.
once you cap and he bets into you on the turn, it's closer to a fold than a raise. |

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
[ QUOTE ]
Why do you want to raise the turn Eskimo ? [/ QUOTE ] Cause he is a psycho mfer! I call it down and hope for A3. With two players in the pot and not closing the action, I probably let it go preflop. A raise could be an option too. I don't like the limp. Raising potentially gets you the button and folds the blinds. NB: That is my round-about way of saying "raise or fold preflop" without sounding like a tool. |

Re: Top 2 pair against TAG
*grunch* I see no reason to play this hand, especially when one of your two opponents is known to be tight. If I did play it'd be because he folds postflop a lot in which case I'd have raised preflop to try to keep it 3handed. Postflop he's repping a set, call down.
After reading thread: [ QUOTE ] this is crying call down once he call/3-bets the flop, not close. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, didn't we just have that huge discussion about how taking Villain's line with a set is questionable because people should put you on a set? |
