POG Dynasty/Keeper Fantasy Football League?

Anyone interested in forming up a dynasty or keeper fantasy football league for POG this year?

Keeper and dynasty leagues differ from regular redraft leagues, in that the same owners play year to year (if an owner quits, then he can be replaced).

In keeper leagues, each owner gets to tag a few select players (anywhere from 1 to 3, depending on the league) to remain on his or her roster. All other players are thrown back into the pool for the draft. This allows you to hang on to any studs or favorite sleepers you had the year before. Various rule tweaks can be made affecting the number of players kept, how many consecutive seasons a player can be kept, whether there are penalties for keeping higher performing players, etc.

In dynasty leagues, the vast majority of rosters are kept from year to year. Your team, once drafted, must be improved through savvy trades, careful rookie drafts, and wise free agent acquisitions.


So, any interest? I'm in a dynasty league, and it's pretty fun. Plus, POG's got the type of community going that can support these types of leagues. If we could get 8-12 people interested in either a keeper or a dynasty league, I'd be glad to run it.

Also, if you say you're in, make sure to specify whether you'd be interest in a keeper, a dynasty, or either one. If you have any questions about how they generally work, ask away -- obviously specific rules would be laid out if enough people join up.

I'd be interesting in either one, I'd prefer a no fees league, but might join a non-free one just cause it's POG.

For a dynasty it really shouldn't be free.. the whole integrity of the league gets compromised with inactive owners.

Free is fine for redraft.

Good point Chim, but as a poor collegesque student, I'd prefer the winner each year can't use his winnings to buy a WSOP ME seat. How much would it cost IYO?

shrug.. 50 bucks or something is enough to keep people interested generally.

This doesn't need to be any high roller thing.

Ideally would be 10-12 owners with 50 a pop (500-600 dollars) where like 100 goes to myfantasyleague or something for site.

Makes it easy, fun, and fairly affordable.

I think free vs. pay (and just how much) can be discussed once we know there's enough people interested to fill the league. :P

EDIT: Although I'd agree with chim's ideal scenario (MFL is a great site for handling this stuff, but costs $70 or so each year). But I'd rather have a free POG dynasty league than no league at all, so it all depends on interest.
