Default K10 suited betting decision 25K MTT

Hi all,

I have a betting question and want to get an idea if I played this hand correctly. 18 people left in the Bodog 25K guaranteed double stack MTT. I am a short stack at my table and on the button. I have K 10 suited.

Note that K 10 is one of my favorite hands, for whatever reason, I usually do well with it. Everyone folds around to me and I bet about half my stack, hoping to get the SB and BB to fold. The SB raises all in and the BB folds. Calling will cripple me if I lose. I call, he turns over AA. I end up with two pair (Ks and 10s) and win. I go on to place 2nd in the tourney. The railbirds and the guy I put out questioned my sanity on that call. What do you think?

Thanks

Blinds were pretty high at that point and I was getting to where they were going to eat me up. Sorry, I didn't keep specific blind info and was concentrating on the tourney. This is one of those after the fact reflections to try and learn from. I question my wisdom on both the reraise and the call, although I usually play that hand agressively. I needed to make something happen and this was the best opportunity I had seen in a while.

Thanks
