I can't believe the turn was checkcalled by his hand, and after it was I can't believe you bet the river, what hand did you put him on that he was paying you off with? 3bet PF, raise flop, call down to more aggeression than that. |

Re: Playing JJ in Mid position
Sounds like Casino AZ? Weird mix of LP and maniacal players in that 8/16 game. A few of these guys will raise with any 2 cards in a kill pot, since 16/32 takes most players out of their comfort zone, a lot of players will call hoping to see a good flop and score a big hit, but almost no one calls a raise PF without good cards.
I raise this PF and take out Fred, Bubba and Shirley playing 86s, QJo and the like (Shirley's old who wants her sucking them out?). UTG and maybe UTG+1 call and, of course, at least one of them has an A anda gutshot ,so they're sticking around. I keep jamming this pot until an A or 3 hits (or I'm otherwise convinced that I'm on a 2 outter). If neither hits, you pull in a big pile of chips almost every time. |

Re: Playing JJ in Mid position
Raise. Take control of the pot. He's the first to act. Put the pressure on him. Make him guess.

Re: Playing JJ in Mid position
I bet the river because of his tight image. At this point I had him on one of two hands, TT or QQ. I figured that my bet may make this particular player lay down QQ. I was folding to a river raise since the only hand that he is raising the river on me is a set which would really only be 99 which I have a really hard time seeing him raise PF with. The only hands i see him having are TT, JJ or QQ. I thought I could get him to fold QQ with a river bet, obviously he wouldnt have since he still called me down with TT. Learn something everytime I play this game.
