Default PL O8 action on Stars drying up?

Is it just me, or is the PL action at Stars getting a little light? I typically play anywhere from $50-200 buy in tables, and there is decidedly less action the last week or two. Right now there is only one $200 pl table and no $100 tables. There are a couple of NL tables, but I think NL omaha is a stupid game (I do play it when necessary). I really don't have anything else to add, just wondering if others have noticed this.

I'll make sure to give away some money this evening on Stars instead of FT.

Yeh I play 1/2 PLO8/NL08 and am looking at playing some 2/4 in the near future but I wish there were more games. I saw a lot of 1/2 PLO8 games on Tilt however..

Is it just me or was there a lot of fish mating going on this spring at FTP? The pond is much better stocked than it was during the first quarter of 2007. Either that or even better I'm just improving, hehe.

As for NLO8, I used to think it was stupid, but once I figured out how to get the fish to bet into the nuts, my win rate quintupled compared to PLO8.

Yeah I need to check out Tilt. Problem is I read nothing but bad stuff about their cust servc and some troubling issues with accounts being hacked.

Full Tilt has served me well since I moved there. The combination of rakeback and a big first time deposit is nice. I also find the games somewhat softer than stars.

FT has been offering bonuses spontaneously to people who don't get rakeback. Wifey got one on her account & I've been working it off.

The bonus effectively works out as a 54% rakeback during its duration.

It seems likely to me that lots of action moved away from Stars because FT is giving a better deal. When those bonuses try up, expect people to move back for the reasons stated above by jcx.

I think I am beginning to believe in this possibility. April has been the best month in my hobby poker career and here are the results for the levels I have played over 1000 hands in (all Omaha Hi/Lo):

Party Poker:

PL $2 3.3k hands +1130 (+8.50 ptBB/100)
PL $1 1.5k hands +78 (+1.86 ptBB/100)

Full Tilt:

NL $2 1.5k hands +815 (+13.0 ptBB/100)
NL $1 6.5k hands +1030 (+7.85 ptBB/100)
PL $1 3.3k hands +648 (+7.88 ptBB/100)

But then the one level where I frequently sit at the same table with Dave:

PL $2 5.9k hands -741 (-3.12 ptBB/100)

This is pretty conclusive evidence, isn't it .
