I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
Villain is LAG, 39/18/3
He had a full stack, but bleeded it away and didn't reload. Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $133.85 BB: $59.38 UTG: $31.55 MP: $39.35 Hero (CO): $114.45 BTN: $146.95 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG calls $1, MP raises to $5, Hero raises to $15, 4 folds, MP raises to $25, Hero folds My line of thinking: - my table image is tight - his min-4bet screams "please call me" - therefore I'm 90% sure he has an overpair and with his stack, I don't have the odds to call If he shoved, I would have instacalled. I believe his min-4bet was an important tell which made me fold. My question: do you guys agree with me, or would you say "[censored] it, put those extra 25 bucks in and have a race"? |

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
I figure that a fold isn't that far from wrong. I'd probably be putting my money in though, because it's more fun.

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
I call the pf bet, don't like reraising with JJ. Then if it's heads up, I fold to any action on the flop if it's got more than 1 overcard, otherwise I'm prob putting him all in.

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
I would have called. With JJ your range is good enough against a LAG short stack.

Read what you wrote: Villain is LAG, 39/18/3 He had a full stack, but bleeded it away and didn't reload.. His range is wide!! ALL-IN ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
Your reraise should be larger so that you don't get these funny thoughts about folding this one.

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
That would have probably been best.
When I reraised, I did it with the intention of getting it all-in, but the min4bet messed with my head. |
