A8s in the CO, strange line after the flop by the SB
8 handed, last 22-23 , 10 places paid. With blinds at 200-400 , all fold to me in the CO with A8 hearts, with a T9300 stack. BTN and SB are v. tight, no reads on BB. BTN folds, SB completes to T1200 leaving 1600 behind , BB folds. Flop comes 10 9 6 one heart. SB bets 800. I really don't know what my line should be here. Am I ever good here?
Was my preflop raise questionable? I figured if I was getting 3 bet I could've mucked my hand. |

Re: A8s in the CO, strange line after the flop by the SB
I think the preflop raise was fine, since everyone infront of u folded. Open-raising is good.
The SB has so small stack that he should have gone allin pf with his last chips if he wanted to play a hand. That small bet on flop is interesting. I think if he had a hand he would have gone allin. Maybe a weak bluff? =D |

Preflop raise is standard. And yeah usually this is a big hand but you should have some outs. Just go all-in maybe he will fold but probably not.
Even though you're likely beat folding is sooo bad for metagame. |
