i'm with the consensus on antonio, he's shown several instances where he doesn't believe the strength of others and comes over them with nothing, enough so to be very impressive...

Esfandiari by far. His play with the K4 against Benyamine is starting to seem routine watching him and that's impressive.

[ QUOTE ]

william chen, jamie gold, and Dr Nasseri should not be invited back

[/ QUOTE ]
I think Chen played better than ramdin by miles and if those players weren't playing, where is the incentive for the big
action players? put you cash on the line versus tough opponents?

without the fish, there would be no HSP.

as for the topic, I think Aba20 and Antonio are as impressive as it gets, although I wish we could have more hands from Brian.

These guys all have ridiculously huge egos and would play even if they somehow knew that all the other players in the game had an edge on them. They love the publicity and to gamble for high stakes on TV.

Also I agree with everyone that Antonio plays extremely well. Townsend played well too.

remember i wasn't asking who was the most impressive, but who had the biggest edge over what we thought he would be like. surely we expected brian to be very strong, as we know his track record etc.

who said brad booth played solid? ought to be ashamed of yourself. also we haven't seen him play many hands yet

Don't forget Paul Wasicka after he opened up and felt the table out. Made some nice plays and also showed good discipline by not losing anything when his slowplayed aces didn't invoke a raise preflop.

very good point. wasika was class. that laydown with aces was awesome. i thought he was rubbish at 1st, too nitty, but he used that as a backdrop to make some great plays.
