Default 34o in BB, good/bad call?, good small two pair hand protection?

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Good loose party table. Preflop raiser is a 16/6/4 over about 40 hands. My first real question is here. How many callers do I need to call the raise for the longshot straight, two pair, trips type flop. I think I remember reading somewhere if you have seven opponents any two will do? Good or bad call?

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 raises, CO (poster) calls, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls.

Pretty good flop, rainbow that had to have missed the original raiser. So I am pretty sure at this point, I have him beat as long as the board doesn't pair somewhere that misses me. I figure this is a good time to go for the check raise and use the original raiser to to protect my small two pair.

Flop: (12 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, MP3 checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP1 folds, MP3 folds, CO calls.

Wrong person bet, but check raise worked well. With no three bet, I was pretty sure I was ahead with this board and action. Keep betting and pretty standard from here?

Turn: (8 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (10 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO folds.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Thanks for the input.

Would you limp this from the button if 5 previous players limped?

I would have to say on non tilty day, no. But here I can be a lot more confident that no one behind me will raise and that is why I am asking. This was very marginal for me. I usually don't hit with cards like this and I hated doing it at the time. Trying not to be results oriented and really don't know here.

I would guess from your question, you think not.

thanks

I fold preflop but if we dont I think going for check raise is correct play on flop.

fold pre-flop. Connectedness is lowest value feature of cards. I'm not sure I even call with T9o. The rest is fine.

I hate the call, you don't close the action, your hand is rubbish, you don't know if you're going to see a raise behind (not likely, but possible). Also, any straight you make is at the ignorant end.
I'm not sure if this will pay off long term, but this time the rest of the hand was fine.
