Re: Flopping a monster in a four way raised pot. Bet out or check?
Wow lots of responses. Thanks to everyone who posted.
Ok, a lot of people aren't in favour of limp-calling UTG here. Fair enough. I probably do usually raise with this 6-handed, but for some reason decided to limp. My image is pretty much perfect, as I'd just been caught bluffing. As you've probably guessed, I didn't extract any value, or else I wouldn't have bothered posting. I led out for 2/3 pot-ish looking to get raised by an overpair, but they all just folded. I guess I could probably have got one bet out of it by checking, but as people have said, leading out was the only way to get his stack, and I'll do it again next time. |

Re: Flopping a monster in a four way raised pot. Bet out or check?
Dont worry my friend, its like that with me too, I have TPTK I get raised, I have top set, or AA preflop and they fold, its pretty absurd actually, I had A3 within 5 hands, once on the BTN and another in BB I think and flopped a straight twice and both times I got about 3BB out of it, the second time I checked flop, checked turn, and made a [censored] small pussy bet on the river and he still folded, I was crying.

I think preflop is fine if you're at a table where getting 4 way to the flop in a raised pot is normal

dont like pf as much, but if table conditions allow for it, whatever. (i prefer opening to limp/calling).
anyways, i check this flop due to relative position. if tons call, i might make a 2.3x raise or something like that. |
