UPC 10k - quick report
hey this one seems to have slipped under the radar so i will give you the scoop.
9 players left to play for the cameras at binions tomorrow. myself, shannon shorr are top two in chips followed by joe tehan, erik cajelais, hasan habib, bob bright, vanessa rousso, antonio salorio, and jon little. 1st pays 105k, 2nd 66k, and only top 7 get paid at all. -- it was/is a small but tough field. those eliminated include barry greenstein, michael mizrachi, eli elezra, chad brown, mark seif, david williams, kathy liebert, nenad medic, shawn rice, isaac haxton, i'm sure a few more i'm foretting. anyway that's about it. i'm going to go watch the film on erik c, shannon, joe, et al. (edit: has joe's wpt win not aired yet? if so, bad beat) your infrequent contributor, alex jacob |

Re: UPC 10k - quick report
From Shannon Shorr's blog: "Only 28 players started, and the prop bets on flops and Chinese poker on breaks have been almost bigger than the prizepool."

Re: UPC 10k - quick report
I lost a nice $21,500 during a 15 minute break on day 1 playing chinese poker. I was sad. I am going into the final table with a whopping 20,000 chips, which is 2/3 of our starting stack. Somehow 20,000 is still 17 big blinds or something like that, so I have a little hope. Ill probably busto in the first 20 hands. GL me.
