Slow-Rolling
What do you do if a player slow-rolls you?
Are there rooms that will say something to a player who slow-rolls their hand? I played in a newer room in the Midwest about a year ago, got slow-rolled on a hand, and I had some words for the player that did it. Fortunately, three other players at the table also had words for the guy (who was being a [censored] for most of the game). Dealer had no clue what any of us were talking about.... (BTW -- small stakes game, lots of chips, not a lot of brains) |

Re: Slow-Rolling
And expected to be slow rolled every time you're in a hand with that person.

The person is a child wanting attention. Deny the prize, reduce the incentive.

Re: Slow-Rolling
In a Sahara tourney once I flipped over my cards at the showdown, dealer reads the hand and asks if anyone can beat it. "Anyone? Anyone?" And folks start tossing their cards in. "Going once? Going twice?" And he pushes me the pot. I start to pull the chips in when VERY slowly and with a giant grin on his face a player oh so slowly flips over one card, then the next for a better hand.
Dealer let out a yell and a gave this guy a lecture that could curdle milk. It was a beaut. I didn't have to say a thing and actually felt kinda bad for the guy who was clearly a newb. So yeah, now and then you'll run into a dealer who will spell out etiquette issues for players, sometimes in colorful ways. |

Re: Slow-Rolling
1. The dealer shouldn't push the pot until he has killed all the other hands
2. The daler shouldn't berate a player for anything. |
