As a tight player, if you are looking only at the percentage of players that see the flop, would you rather choose a table that has a high or low flop percentage...Generally, I like to limp into pots...
My thinking is that a higher percentage of players that see the flop probably means not a lot of preflop raises (obviously could be a loose table) and I normally choose those tables with higher percentages seeing the flop so that I can limp into more pots... Anyone confirm/give a different opinion? |

Higher % is always better. Hmmm, yep, always.

Higher % is always better. Hmmm, yep, always. [/ QUOTE ] Espcially if you like to limp and see flops because lots of players seeing the flop usually means the there isn't a lot of pf raising going on. Lucky |

Loose passive tables are the best. But you need to be the wolf among the sheep. If you have a raisable hand you MUST raise.
An example from 3/6 live with 9 players last week. New table opened, 2nd orbit so we don't know much about each other. UTG raises PF. Folded to me. I have AKs in MP. I 3 bet w/o hesitation. Folded back around to UTG. Flop is QJx. UTG bets. I call. Turn blank. Check/check. River blank. Check/check. UTG turns up ATs and I win with AKs. If I do not 3 bet, odds are that I face a player that almost certainly will hold a Q or J and will either bet or call down to the river and I lose. Learn how not to play weak-tight. Follow SSHE guidelines. If those guidelines say to raise then RAISE dammit. |
