Default A10off on button

.5/1 6 max at WPX - five handed at the time

I have A/10off (hearts and diamonds) on the button

Only had been at the table for 4 orbits. Had picked up a few things from the other players, but nothing on the villain that stood out - probably a typical WPX grinder.
Can't find a WPX converter

UTG folds, CO raises, Hero 3 bets, SB and BB fold, CO calls

Flop 10/7/2 two spades and one club

CO checks, Hero bets, CO calls

Turn 4 of hearts

CO checks, Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls

River 5 of hearts

CO bets, Hero calls

Thoughts? I think preflop is standard - I have position and he's raising in the CO with what is likely a wide range.

Do we raise the river if we improve?

I would definitely raise if we improve. Only flopped sets kills us, and a weaker ten or a PP looks like a likely holding for villain.

Exactly what are we improved against, if we're not three-betting the turn? I would expect AA/KK/QQ to cap PF, and almost every overpair to c/r the flop. Any T is calling down vs. a turn three-bet for sure.

I see your point, but your assumptions are really if you have any good reads, which OP did not give us. Perhaps villain _should_ play like you suggested if he has one of those holdings, but really, I would still feel more convinced we had the best hand if we improved than if we didn't.
