I apologize. My knowledege of V8 was limited to what was on the can. Sorry I bothered you by asking about it. I probably should have known the contents of the "not a wonder drug lol" much better. I just expected vegetable juice to have more than some C and a little A.

You actually read the title "Should I have a V8" and thought it was about a car, really?

[ QUOTE ]
I actually want to know if V8 is a decent addition to a diet of someone that doesn't eat nearly enough vegetables?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes.

[ QUOTE ]
Does it have the same nutritious properties as a days' worth of veggies?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

V8 tastes like regurgited pig [censored], I don't understand how anyone could drink that crap. Oh and look at how much sodium each serving has, and realize that it's not even close to as healthy as eating actual fruits/vegetables.

Just suck it up and find some fruits/veggies that you like and always keep them stocked. It's really not that hard.

That V8 splash kind is pretty good. I can actually drink it without hiding the terrible taste with vodka, worcestershire, and tabasco.

My wife drinks that garbage, she gets the low sodium version though. I can't stand it. Even the smell makes me gag.

V8 makes for an awesome bloody mary. So if you ask the question at 10am hungover, the answer is definitely yes.

I suspect the reason it may not have as much vitamins as most "health drinks" is that it's just pureed veggies. Most other drinks add more vitamins, just like how they sometimes add vitamins to milk or calcium to orange juice.
