Re: Winning in Tough Hold \'em Games
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I'm looking forward to getting the book, but I have a question. I think everyone deep inside would like to know how to beat really tough games, but it begs the question. Why would anyone play in tough games to begin with? I can think of some valid answers but I'd like know to hear your answer. [/ QUOTE ] Knowing how to beat tough games does not imply we think you should play in them when there are alternatives. One could also make the arguement that learning the skills to beat tough games might increase your winrate in easier games. [/ QUOTE ] stoxtrader, where have you been? i have some questions about trading companies etc...haven't seen you online for months |

MarkD,
I totally disagree. Apply the concepts in the book to the tighter players at lower limits, and you will see results. |

Stox,
Should those of us on your book preorder list from last month wait for the word, or go ahead and place an order through Two Plus Two? |

[/ QUOTE ] Baron, I just don't want a lot of other people to buy the book, so I totally disagree with you disagreeing with me in show but do agree with your disagreement in principle. In all seriousness, I feel that the book will be phenomenal for me and that the concepts will apply to various situations throughout most limits, but hope that the rest of 2+2 does not buy it or does not apply it correctly and therefor does not make my games harder. |

I haven't been hiding. I've been playing and writing mostly. "stoxtrader" rarely plays anymore but I have been around. Not really sure if this is what you meant or not. |

they could make that argument but it would be wrong. easy games require a significantly different skill set. but that's not to say i dont think the book has a lot of merit, at least in theory. |
