Default FTP Store vs MGR Question - FTPDoug?

MH move / link to an existing thread if this has been mentioned before. I'm sure it has but I'm having no success finding it with search.

I'm thinking about buying some electronics items in the FTP store and I'm curious about how they do MGR deductions. When I got a jersey a while ago for 25k points it deducted like $200 something from MGR so like almost $70 real money. Now, I'm thinking about getting the iPaq pocket pc for like 80k+ points.

My question is, is the amount they deduct from your MGR always the actual cost of the item + shipping or is it completely set on a ratio vs the points? If it's set on a ratio vs the pts then I'd end up getting over $700 mgr deducted for this thing which is similar to me just going out and buying it to begin with.

Thanks for the help

I always thought it was the value of the item.

I just bought an iPod and just checked my MGR, it's at -$1k. That could have something to do with some of my freeroll wins though, although I don't know why that'd be.

That has to be an error. Freeroll seats deduct MGR by the seat's equity, not your win.

Man this really makes points useless. I wish you could do it like Stars with winning seats and selling/unregistering for them.

Not useless, because only your rakeback % is deducted (i.e. if the item costs $300 worth of points, you're only really paying $81 for it (assuming 27% rakeback)). If you had to pay the full amount, then yes, they really would be useless.

Wait to use them until you decide you aren't going to play at Fulltilt anymore... wait till your rakeback hits for the month and make a withdraw of all you money and all those points you have built up... You will have a negative amount owed but, since you aren't playing there anymore, it won't be an issue...

Viper,

Items purchased from the Full Tilt Store do impact your MGR to a small degree, at a rate of half a cent per point. Using the iPAQ Pocket PC as an example, you would see a $429.75 reduction in your MGR.

Other factors that affect MGR are:

1. Deposit transaction fees – you should try not withdraw and re-deposit unnecessarily
2. Guaranteed prize pool tournaments you play that do not reach the guarantee – 27% of your equity of the overlay amount is deducted from your MGR
3. Freeroll tournaments such as for Iron Man – 27% of your equity is deducted from your MGR
4. Bonus money accrued via deposit or reload bonuses – Bonus amounts are deducted from your total rake paid before your rakeback is calculated

For additional information regarding the Full Tilt Store you can contact them at CustomerService@fulltiltstore.com, and for any other MGR related questions I would suggest you contact Affiliates@fulltiltpoker.com.

What if you choose the bonus medals instead of the freeroll as your bonus option? How does this affect MGR?

If we use the medals, say for a bonus, do you deduct more then? All these deductions are pretty lame.
