Less than a month to go. The reviews and trailers have looked great. Anyone else looking forward to it?

I played through the first one recently, a few month ago. I thought it was great, but it was kinda short.
Remember how the first part of the game was like a bunch of wrecked ships in the ocean, and after you beat that part the rest of the game was kind of one big continuous area? I think the whole concepts of levels, in vastly different environments with different monsters, would have been cool. I know they kind of did this but the areas still had the same "feel" to them, whereas the shipwreck area totally kicked ass and was unique. Looking forward to the next one alot. I dig these type of games, I'm a big Devil May Cry fan too. (1 and 3, not 2 of course) Hope there are lots more CGI boobs too. |

Anyone here ever beat the game on God Mode?
I got to the Ares fight right near the end, just before you have to protect your family.I never got to play it that much once I reached Ares so I only had one night to try it, but I remember it was pretty tough. The part after I talked about earlier, protecting your family, must have been nearly impossible on God Mode. I am sometimes glad I never got to that part because some controllers would have paid a price. |

The fact that they made this on PS2 is beyond moronic. This is what they NEED on PS3 right now.

I think the timelines were off for it to be released on PS3. Some sources have said that it will be ported to the PS3 at the end of the year. |

I did beat the game on God Mode. It took me forever, I had to replay and replay the part where Kratos fights "himself." It was worth it though, I won't ruin it, but the if you go to special features or whatever after the game and see it it's well worth it
God of War is definitely one of my favorite games of all time and I've been salivating about the sequel ever since. I'm glad it's on PS2 cause I don't feel like buying a PS3 now, and I'd "have" to play this game. If you take a look at the special features (which is so well done on that game, I loved looking at the making of monsters, levels, Kratos, made me learn a lot about videogames and I wish more games would do this) they show some deleted levels and concepts they didn't have time to fit in. I bet some of this stuff gets transferred to the new game and I'm sure it is going to kick ass. David Jaffe isn't heading the project (guy who spearheaded the first one), I think he is now in a bigger position kinda looking over a few projects ala Miyamoto. Simply cannot wait for this! |

IGN posted their review for the new game.
"God of War II may in fact be the best action game ever made." If your not salivating yet you should be. |
