Re: Married Men: How often do you remove your ring?
There's a lot of factors, I have been married for 6 years now, I for the last 3 months dont wear my ring, it was causing skin irritation, I wear no jewelry except a watch, and I always too off my ring to play golf, so it was never a permanent fixture on me(its not stuck on). My wife also, has skin issues occasionally with her ring and has pretty much not worn it for a year or so. If your wife/soon to be wife thinks its important, you may want to have a conversation about it, some people think it is a big thing, others not so much, you dont want to be one of the couples that have both ends of the view on it.

Re: Married Men: How often do you remove your ring?
About the only time I don't wear mine is when I'm golfing. I frequently switch it to my right hand, however, as my skin gets chafed.

Re: Married Men: How often do you remove your ring?
Mine almost never comes off. I purposely picked a ring that was fairly narrow.
If you don't take it off for weight lifting, you'll probably bend it. Just get a ring tattoo instead. |

Just get a ring tattoo instead. [/ QUOTE ] This is a horrible idea. When I was married, I almost never took mine off (lifting weights I was afraid would scratch it), but I don't have huge knuckles either, so mine fit comfortably. |

Re: Married Men: How often do you remove your ring?
For about 5 years, I wore mine 99.9% of the time, showers, and everything included.
I stopped wearing it a few weeks ago though, because after having a discussion about it with another couple, I realized that while I usually didn't notice my ring, whenever I did, it was always for a bad reason. Like I'd be playing with my kid and he'd say "ow", or something like that. PS: Don't get platinum. It seemed all cool and manly at the time to have a ring with some real heft to it, but it actually sucks. |
