Re: this prob belongs in SSNL

Re: this prob belongs in SSNL
I like calling turn to control pot. If board doesn't pair then you can hope he checks it down with you. By pushing on turn, unless he is bluffing he is not going to fold.

Re: this prob belongs in SSNL
im gonna go a different path here.
youre getting 2:1 odds here. he has ~21k left after this (note this is barely more than 1.5*13.2k). you need 3.5:1 odds to profitably call here (assuming set/straight, but it seems very high probability he has that), and youre BARELY getting 3.5:1 implied to hit a boat here if he does have straight/set. i think this makes calling now and folding to a river shove on a non Q65432A diamond (all the great/terrible rivers for you) river is terrible. (unlikely) if he is EVER capable of pitching the hand if the board pairs this could even be a fold. also have to ask yourself if he ever plays a set this way. if you think its close to certain he would not play a set like this AND its possible he folds the river if it pairs then ok you can fold now, but i would say this is generally a bad idea, especially at 200/400nl. (more likely) if hes not capable of folding paired board, or if he could have a set here, you should probably call safe rivers like a 9o, or really any of the cards i didnt mention before. |
